Some stories are written with words.

Ours began with clay.

Long before a piece takes shape, the earth was already there. The same earth that, generation after generation, gave life to São Pedro do Corval, a village where clay is not only a raw material, but part of the identity of those who live here.

It was in this place, where the sound of the potter’s wheel marks the passing of time and hands learn early to turn earth into art, that Olaria Quintas was born.

Every piece we create carries far more than technique. It carries the experience of generations, respect for ancient knowledge and the dedication of those who believe that tradition only stays alive when it continues to be made, every day.

Our hands shape the clay as our ancestors did: with time, patience and passion. Because we know that true beauty is not born of haste, but of the care placed in every detail.

Over the years we have evolved, refined processes and created new collections, without ever losing what defines us: the authenticity of traditional pottery from São Pedro do Corval.

Every jug, every plate, every decorative or useful piece tells a small story. The story of the land it came from, of the hands that shaped it and of the tradition that lives on in every kiln that is lit.

For us, preserving pottery is not about looking to the past. It is about ensuring this heritage continues to be part of the present and the future.

Because as long as there is clay to shape and hands willing to give it form, this story will keep being written.

And every piece that leaves Olaria Quintas carries with it a piece of that story.
